TechFlame reports that the newly formed super political action committee Fellowship PAC announced on Monday that it will spend more than $100 million to carry out candidate actions in support of pro-crypto policies. This is the latest move by the digital asset industry to overwhelm political rivals and push lawmakers to protect industry interests in Washington.
Notably, the PAC favors alliances with the Republican Party and President Trump compared to Fairshake, the super PAC that currently dominates the crypto industry. According to the filing, the financial director of Fellowship PAC is an executive of Wall Street agency Cantor Fitzgerald, which was previously headed by Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.
According to two people familiar with the matter, supporters of the organization are expected to include Tether, the world's largest stablecoin issuer. The foreign company recently set up a US entity to fund Super PAC. Tether has faced accusations of financial fraud and condoning platform crimes, but has recently been actively linked to the Trump administration, including hiring Trump's crypto adviser Bo Hines, who just left last month, and working closely with Cantor Fitzgerald, who is run by Lutnick's son.
