TechFlame reports that virtual asset trading and brokerage services will be removed from the restricted industry for venture companies. South Korea's Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises and Startups (“Ministry of Small and Medium Startups”) said on the 9th that at the State Council meeting held at the Yongsan Presidential Office, some amendments to the “Special Law Enforcement Order on Fostering Venture Enterprises” containing the above contents were reviewed and passed. The amendments will be officially implemented on the 16th.
The Ministry of Small and Medium Startups explained that the revised enforcement order takes into account factors such as changes in the global status of the virtual asset industry and the strengthening of the user protection system in South Korea, and aims to lay the foundation for officially cultivating core deep technology industries in the digital asset ecosystem such as blockchain and encryption technology.
The Ministry of Small and Medium Startups also pointed out that globally, the US approved Bitcoin Spot Listed Index Fund (ETF) in January of last year and implemented a comprehensive stablecoin regulation law in July of the same year. It can be seen that the trend of recognizing virtual assets as an official industry is taking shape.
