Crypto card issuer Rain closes $58 million Series B round led by Sapphire Ventures

According to TechFlame, crypto card issuer Rain has completed a $58 million Series B round, led by Sapphire Ventures, with Dragonfly, Galaxy Ventures, Endeavor Catalyst, Samsung Next, and Lightspeed participating. Credit cards that support Rain have spent more than $1 billion a year, according to a source familiar with the matter.
Rain has launched a bank card that supports Visa, making it easy to spend stablecoins at all places that accept Visa. The company was founded in 2021 by CEO Farooq Malik and Chief Technology Officer Charles Yoo-Naut. Rain allows new banks and fintech companies such as Nuvei to provide stablecoin payment services. As previously reported, on March 24, Rain announced the completion of a $24.5 million funding round, led by Norwest Venture Partners, with participation from Galaxy Ventures, Goldcrest, Thayer, and Hard Yaka.
