TechFlame, August 22. According to Decrypt, the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) revealed that in the past two years, more than 14,000 fraud and phishing websites have been taken down, of which about 20% are cryptocurrency scam websites, or about 3,015.

ASIC said it will expand the scope of the crackdown, from website takedown to social media ads to help protect Australian consumers from fraud.
