TechFlame reports that Bank for International Settlements (BIS) researchers have proposed a new anti-money laundering (AML) solution aimed at stopping illegal money inflows by setting compliance scores for cryptocurrencies. The plan argues that “blockchain users should be assigned a security score, and withdrawals from low rated users will be blocked.” Based on cryptocurrency transfer history, countries can set a threshold score to determine whether users can exchange cryptocurrencies for fiat money.
