According to TechFlame, the American Bankers Association (ABA) and 52 other banking organizations have sent a letter to the US Senate Banking Committee leadership proposing amendments to the US Stablecoin Guidance and Establishment National Innovation Act (GENIUS). The letter pointed out that the GENIUS Act has hidden concerns about interest payments, state-level regulation, and the issuance of stablecoins by non-financial companies, because the ban on stablecoin issuers paying interest to holders is considered too loose.
