TechFlame reports that the Orca Council issued a governance proposal to use up to 55,000 SOL to buy back ORCA and pledge it to the verification node. During the 5-day voting period and 2-day cooling-off period, ORCA token holders can submit a veto vote. Proposal details:
·Fund size: The total amount of SOL and USDC in the treasury wallet. Currently, it is approximately 55,000 SOL and 400,000 USDC.
·Execution method: All SOL in the treasury wallet will first be pledged at the Orca verification node and then withdrawn regularly as needed to execute the Orca repurchase plan. The program will be carried out under a decentralized exchange or in partnership with a market maker for a period of 24 months, and the daily repurchase volume will be capped at 2% of ORCA's average trading volume for 30 days to minimize market shock.
·Storage and use of repurchase tokens: Repurchased ORCA tokens will be stored in multi-signature DAO treasury wallets. The Commission plans to burn these tokens to permanently reduce ORCA circulation, distribute them to the xORCA pool as a reward, or use for ecosystem funding.
·Risk management of repurchase plans: Repurchases will be suspended during periods of high market volatility (ORCA price fluctuates more than 15% in 24 hours).
