The main policies of the AI action plan include: exporting artificial intelligence to the US. The Department of Commerce and the State Department will coordinate with industry to provide safe, full-stack artificial intelligence systems, including hardware, software, and standards to allies; accelerate construction to provide quick approval permits for data centers and chip manufacturers; abolish federal regulations to slow the development of artificial intelligence; and give AI construction freedom of speech, that is, AI models are not affected by “ideological bias imposed by the government.” The plan also threatens to stop providing federal AI funding to states that have introduced “red tape” — a move that critics say could stifle local innovation and trigger a new constitutional dispute.
