According to TechFlame, on July 23, Bybit and Cactus Custody, Asia's leading compliant digital asset custodian under Matrixport, announced a strategic partnership to launch an OTC payment solution through the Cactus Oasis platform to enhance asset safety, capital efficiency and operational control capabilities for institutional customers. It is expected to launch on July 28, 2025. The partnership allows clients to trade without pre-funding Bybit accounts, and collateral assets are managed by Cactus Custody in a regulated isolated environment and transferred only during settlement, reducing counterparty risk and ensuring market liquidity. Cactus Oasis enables cross-platform asset management through “buffer accounts”, provides dual authorization, customized approval and settlement procedures, and KYC/KYB/KYT compliance support. It is equipped with a bank-level security system, including HSM encryption and hierarchical storage for hot and cold wallets. Cactus Custody holds a TCSP license from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and has obtained Deloitte's SOC 1 Type 1 and SOC 2 Type 2 certifications to meet the compliance requirements of mainstream institutions. Shunyet Jan, head of Bybit's institutional business, said the partnership strengthens the safe trading environment and optimizes liquidity management. Wendy Jiang, general manager of Cactus Custody, said that integrated responses to institutions' needs for secure escrow and efficient settlement will promote the upgrading of digital asset trading infrastructure. The two sides are committed to building a compliant and transparent infrastructure to help Asia-Pacific and global institutional investors participate deeply in the digital asset market. In the future,
Bybit will continue to optimize the institutional service ecosystem and enable the development of global digital finance.
