According to TechFlame, according to Businessinsider, the digital asset and fintech platform NextGen Digital Platforms Inc. (Canadian Stock Exchange: NXT) announced today that it has purchased $1 million worth of Bitcoin and recorded it on its balance sheet as part of its corporate capital strategy. The strategy involves the acquisition of specific crypto assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and/or Solana.
As an important step in the diversified management strategy of corporate reserves, NextGen plans to allocate part of idle cash to crypto assets. The company recognises the potential of such digital assets as long-term value storage tools and hedge against systemic financial risks. Through this initiative, NextGen has become one of a growing number of listed companies incorporating crypto assets with traditional cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities into the fund management system.
According to the strategy approved by the board of directors, the company can allocate up to 80% of its capital reserves to crypto assets. All assets will be held through a regulated institutional-level custodian and will strictly comply with applicable laws and industry best practices relating to asset safety, custody and information disclosure.
