Morgan Chase analyzed that regulators in many countries, including the Bank of England, tend to support non-bearer tokenized bank deposits rather than stablecoins, because the former are settled at face value and are more in line with the “singularity” principle of fiat currency. Although stablecoins still have an advantage in terms of liquidity and convenience, JPM is also testing a permissioned token deposit product called JPMD at Base. (TheBlock)
