The nomination will be sent to President Trump for final approval. Gould was OCC's Chief Advisor and Deputy Director. Since this year, the OCC has taken more crypto-friendly steps, including allowing Bank of America to operate its own crypto assets. Meanwhile, the House of Representatives is speeding up stablecoin legislation. Next week, “Crypto Week” will be held to review the “GENIUS Act,” requiring stablecoins to be fully collateralized by highly liquid assets such as the US dollar, and annual audits of issuers with a market capitalization of over 50 billion US dollars.
