TechFlame reports that according to the Korea Intellectual Property Office on July 9, Woori Bank, one of the top five commercial banks in Korea, applied for 12 stablecoin trademarks including “WKRW,” “KRWOORI,” “WONKR,” and “CKRW” on July 7, involving cryptocurrency financial transactions and cryptocurrency electronic transfer services. So far, the five major financial holding companies in Korea have all held stablecoin trademarks at the level of affiliated companies or holding companies.
