The hearing will be webcast and is a key part of the Senate Digital Assets Subcommittee's legislative process to advance the “GENIUS Stablecoin Act” and the “CLARITY Market Structure Act”, with the aim of clarifying the regulatory division of labor between the SEC and CFTC. Garlinghouse emphasized on social media that enacting constructive legislation on the structure of the cryptocurrency market in the US is critical to opening a new era of innovation and financial opportunity while protecting consumers.
