TechFlame reports that according to the latest data shared by Circle executive Patrick Hansen, the EU has now issued MiCA licenses to 53 institutions, allowing them to “pass passports” within the 30 countries of the European Economic Area and can provide services without applying one by one.
Among them, 14 companies have been approved to issue stablecoins or electronic money tokens (EMT), including Circle, Crypto.com, Société Générale, Stablemint, Quantoz, and StabLR; Tether has not obtained compliance licenses as a USDT issuer and is not included in the list.
Another 39 approved crypto asset service providers (CASPs) include BBVA, Robinhood, Coinbase, Kraken, and OKX. Binance is not on this list.
