TechFlame News A recent research report jointly released by the New York Federal Reserve and the San Francisco Federal Reserve indicates that although short-term borrowing costs are currently relatively high, there is still a possibility that the Fed's short-term interest rate target will once again approach zero in the next few years. This report, written with the participation of New York Federal Reserve Chairman Williams, shows that the medium- to long-term risk of the Fed's interest rate target returning to an ultra-low level “is currently at the low end of the observation range of the past 15 years.” However, the researchers added that due to the recent rise in uncertainty, the possibility of returning to near-zero interest rates in the medium to long term is “still significant.” (Gold 10)
