TechFlame reports that, according to Cointelegraph, the US Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced sanctions against Russian “bulletproof escrow” service provider Aeza Group on Tuesday, while freezing about 350,000 US dollars of assets in a crypto wallet linked to it. The company is accused of providing specialized servers and computer infrastructure for ransomware and information thieves. The sanctions also target a number of Russian and British companies, as well as four Russian executives. Blockchain analysis company Chainalysis said that the sanctioned Tron (Tron) blockchain address is Aeza's managed wallet, which processes payments and transfers funds to various crypto exchanges. The move represents an important step in the US government's fight against cybercrime infrastructure.
