TechFlame news: Former U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission Chairman Chris Giancarlo said in an interview with Bitcoin Magazine that expanding government spending and currency debasement have made Bitcoin's value proposition more prominent than ever. He believes that Bitcoin's fixed total supply and scarcity make it a digital form of gold and that it is expected to become an anchor for money in the future. Giancarlo pointed out that Federal Reserve rate hikes and the continued rise in U.S. debt levels will instead reinforce Bitcoin's value logic. He also said that the failure of the CLARITY Act to pass does not constitute a setback for Bitcoin and that the trend toward tokenized money is irreversible. He expects that by 2036 all securities issuance will be tokenized. On stablecoins, Giancarlo mentioned the GENIUS Act and its impact on demand for U.S. Treasury bonds. He also recalled how he became interested in Bitcoin after the 2008 financial crisis and his experience of being called "Crypto Dad" because of his friendly stance toward the crypto industry.
