TechFlame News, according to Jinshi, Oxford Economics analyst Iain Simmons said that eurozone inflation remains above target and faces significant risks ahead. Due to elevated energy prices from rising tensions in the Middle East, headline inflation ticked up 0.1 percentage points to 2.9% in July. He noted that since the collapse of the Iran ceasefire agreement, the risk of broader inflationary spillovers has risen sharply, strengthening the case for a rate hike in September. That said, the inflation data shows a relatively muted response to the escalation in the Middle East, and second-round wage effects could be limited later this year.
