**TechFlame News** — According to The Block, the World Foundation, the organization behind the World project, has raised $52.5 million through a strategic sale of WLD tokens, with all tokens subject to a one-year lockup period. This "first close" round was led by Pantera Capital, with participation from Bain Capital Crypto, Eightco Holdings (NASDAQ: ORBS), Selini Capital, Susquehanna Crypto, and others.
The Foundation stated that the WLD tokens sold in this round are intended solely for internal use within the World Network and do not represent equity or revenue rights in Tools for Humanity. The funds will be used to expand World ID technology for enterprises, individuals, and AI agents. World ID is currently integrated with platforms such as Zoom, DocuSign, Okta, Vercel, and Tinder. To date, over 39 million people have joined the network, with more than 18 million having completed Orb-based real-person verification. WLD is currently trading at approximately $0.37, with a total market cap of around $1.31 billion.
