TechFlame News: According to Cointelegraph, Consensys brought in a software developer earlier this year through a "reputable third-party service provider," who was later found to have ties to North Korea. Using the alias Tyler Knapp, the developer had approximately one month of access to Consensys’ systems. Matt Corva, General Counsel at Consensys, stated that the developer was not an employee of Consensys but worked as a consultant. Upon discovering the threat, the company immediately revoked access and launched a thorough investigation, confirming that no assets or data were stolen, no malicious code was deployed, and user security was not compromised. Consensys announced it will reassess its practices for outsourcing engineering and development work.
