According to a TechFlame report citing CoinDesk, Ripple is attempting to introduce XRP and its stablecoin Ripple USD into the AI agent payment market, aiming to break into the on-chain micropayment ecosystem currently dominated by the dollar-pegged stablecoin USD Coin. The company has already launched the XRPL AI Starter Kit, providing developers with a set of tools to build AI agent payment capabilities, enabling smart agents to complete payments, check balances, and manage wallets on the XRP Ledger, while supporting an automated payment process based on the x402 protocol. However, Ripple has not yet disclosed any large-scale live customer deployments or real production-grade AI agent payment transaction data, and this initiative remains in the early exploratory phase of infrastructure and developer ecosystem development.
