The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) announced today the establishment of a Tokenized Bonds Expert Group, bringing together industry representatives with relevant experience and a keen interest in the development of Hong Kong's tokenized bond market. This initiative aims to further drive the adoption and expand the potential of tokenized bonds in Hong Kong. The expert group comprises representatives from industry associations, financial institutions, legal advisory firms, as well as financial infrastructure and technology providers. Building on the progress made so far in the HKMA's various tokenized bond-related efforts, the expert group will jointly explore policy measures, market practices, and innovative solutions.
