**TechFlame News** — The Humanity Foundation has recently made a major adjustment to the $H token vesting plan, requiring investors to make a final decision between two options before 09:00 UTC on April 26. The first option involves extending the distribution schedule: the cliff will be pushed to September 25, 2026, followed by equal quarterly distributions over 12 quarters. The second option is an immediate unlock at a 3:10 discounted swap ratio—5,000,000 $H tokens in place of the original 16,666,666 (a 70% reduction), distributed in full on June 25, 2026.
It is understood that the Humanity Foundation has sent adjustment notices to over 100 investors simultaneously. One early-stage investment institution, Trix Ventures, has already publicly disclosed its choice of the discounted immediate unlock.
According to reports, the institution invested during the project’s valuation stage of approximately $60 million. Even after the 3:10 discount swap, it can still achieve roughly a 7x return. Notably, Humanity Protocol previously entered into a deep collaboration with payments giant Mastercard, giving its fundamentals a vote of confidence from traditional financial institutions. The on-chain identity verification sector in which the project operates is still in its early stages in terms of market size. However, with the continued expansion of AI-generated content and automated accounts, demand for verifiable on-chain identity is widely expected to grow exponentially, positioning the sector with long-term potential to become a leading infrastructure segment within Web3.
The project is now facing the pressure of a massive one-time token unlock. Whether it can ride the explosive growth of the AI sector will depend heavily on the outcome of this challenge. Some analysts have noted that opting for the single unlock on June 25 is the safer choice. In the current market cycle, “certain liquidity” far outweighs paper valuations. The deferred plan extends the timeline to three years, introducing significant unknowns regarding protocol survivability and team stability.
From a market structure perspective, June 25 is poised for significant concentrated selling pressure: the Sablier contract’s release schedule is transparent on-chain, allowing quant funds and short sellers to target that node with precision; institutions may hedge and lock in profits during the two-month window ahead of the unlock; and market makers could preemptively withdraw buy-side depth, reducing actual realizable value to less than 10% of the nominal figure. Historically, large-scale concentrated unlocks of Starknet (STRK) and ApeCoin (APE) triggered severe selling pressure, with STRK dropping over 95% from its peak and APE falling 77% within seven months.
