TechFlame News — According to market sources, Nasdaq-listed Nakamoto has announced an actively managed Bitcoin derivatives program set to launch in the first quarter of 2026. The program aims to generate recurring volatility-based returns on a portion of the company's Bitcoin holdings while partially hedging against downside price risk. The plan will be managed by Bitwise Asset Management through a separately managed account, with the relevant Bitcoin held as collateral via Kraken's qualified custody solution. The strategy includes covered calls and call spreads on the yield side, along with protective puts and put spreads on the hedging side. Nakamoto stated that premiums generated from the program could be used to cover hedging costs, acquire additional Bitcoin, or for general corporate purposes. Results from the first quarter of 2026 will be included in the corresponding 10-Q filing.
