TechFlame News reports, according to DL News, that a South Korean forgery ring is selling fake official documents to users through Telegram, prioritizing payments in cryptocurrency or digital gift cards. Among these, a counterfeit Yonsei University diploma sells for approximately $200, an admission certificate is quoted at around $100, and fake diplomas from overseas universities are priced at about $341. The report notes that the ring also provides forged materials such as driver's licenses, family relationship certificates, criminal record clearance documents, and bank loan papers. South Korean police have stated that the number of arrests for forgery cases nearly doubled between 2021 and 2023.
