TechFlame reports that exchange Zonda has stated it is currently unable to access a cold wallet containing 4,503 bitcoins (worth approximately $334 million). In a video statement, Zonda CEO Przemysław Kral explained that the private key for the wallet was never properly transferred during the company’s handover process. The key was supposed to be handed over by Zonda founder and former CEO Sylwester Suszek, who has been missing since 2022. Przemysław Kral denied allegations of misappropriation of funds and attributed an unusual surge in withdrawal requests to negative media coverage. Zonda plans to take legal action against false statements and has committed to fulfilling its obligations to customers. The exchange was rebranded from BitBay to Zonda in 2021.
