According to DLNews, despite the ongoing downturn in the cryptocurrency market, venture capital still injected $883 million into crypto startups in February, marking a 13% decline compared to the same period last year.
Data from DefiLlama shows that investors are shifting toward more cautious strategies, focusing on projects with actual revenue and user bases. The three largest funding rounds this month include: Flying Tulip, founded by Andre Cronje, raising $206 million to build a comprehensive financial platform; social commerce platform Whop securing a $200 million investment from Tether, valuing the company at $1.6 billion; and Anchorage Digital, the first federally regulated digital asset bank in the U.S., raising $100 million, boosting its valuation to $4.2 billion. Stablecoins, artificial intelligence, and institutional tools are emerging as key investment focus areas for 2026.
