TechFlame News: Renowned trader and chart analyst Peter Brandt, who accurately predicted the 2018 Bitcoin crash, suggests that the Bitcoin market may not have hit its true bottom yet, stating that "the real bottom might not arrive until October 2026." He previously forecasted that Bitcoin could drop to around $60,000 in the third quarter of 2026. Brandt believes that prices may fluctuate upward in the short term but could still fall back to the high $50,000 range within the year. Meanwhile, Arthur Hayes points out that Ethereum prices may continue to trade sideways within the current range until U.S. dollar liquidity improves. As of press time, Ethereum is trading at approximately $1,941, with a decline of over 40% in the past 30 days. However, Michaël van de Poppe, founder of MN Trading Capital, believes that Ethereum is currently in an attractive accumulation zone and emphasizes that stablecoin trading volume has grown by about 200% over the past 18 months. In terms of prediction markets, data from Polymarket shows a 41% probability of Bitcoin falling below $60,000 before the end of February, while the likelihood of it returning to $75,000 stands at 29%. For 2026, the probability of Bitcoin reaching $120,000 is 23%, with only a 10% chance of breaking above $150,000. As for Ethereum, the market predicts a 76% probability of it hitting $1,500 in 2026, while the likelihood of it dropping to $1,600 is 23%.
