TechFlame reports that on December 27th, @Pilla_eth, the Market Lead for the Lighter team, shared some details about the TGE during an AMA session themed "Lighter TGE." The key points include:
1. The TGE and airdrop are scheduled for 2025. The airdrop will account for 25% of the total token supply with no lock-up restrictions. No claim process is required; tokens will be directly deposited into the Lightner wallets of eligible points holders.
2. 50% of the token supply will be allocated to the community. More tokenomics details will be released gradually. A token buyback is planned, though the specific amount is yet to be determined. "Thus, value will accrue to the token."
3. Initially, the LIT token will only be tradable on the Lighter platform. Coinbase and Bybit have already added LIT to their roadmaps. The team will not pay for exchange listings.
4. There will be no official Lighter NFT, but the team acknowledges some community NFTs, such as Fuego. Rumors about a meme coin airdrop are false.
Additionally, @Pilla_eth revealed that Lighter is developing "a mobile application robust enough to compete with CEX apps."
