TechFlame reports, on December 10, according to Dlnews, the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) announced on Tuesday that American banks can act as intermediaries for cryptocurrency transactions, buying and selling digital assets on behalf of their clients. This "risk-free principal trading" model is similar to how banks currently handle securities transactions for customers, where banks serve only as intermediaries and do not hold crypto assets in their own inventory.
