A user with the code name 0xafEe accurately bet on all major candidates, earning a profit of $1.15 million, sparking suspicions of insider trading. Not only did the user correctly predict d4vd's victory (which had only a 0.2% chance of winning at the time), but they also accurately predicted the losses of popular candidates such as Pope Leo XIV and Trump. After the event, the user immediately changed their nickname, adding further suspicion to their actions. Polymarket veteran user Car questioned on platform X: "This is clearly an insider making extra money." However, some argue that insider trading is a feature rather than a flaw in such platforms, as it brings prediction markets closer to reflecting true probabilities.
