According to an official announcement reported by TechFlame, Drop, a liquid staking protocol within the Cosmos ecosystem, has declared that it will cease operations in an orderly manner. The protocol was launched in 2024. Drop stated that, in light of the current direction of the ecosystem and broader market conditions, the protocol has been unable to identify a sustainable path forward. Additionally, the issuance of DROP tokens will not proceed, and airdrops related to the Droplets program have been canceled. Drop is exploring the possibility of distributing protocol revenue to participants of the Droplets program as a means of returning value to contributors. Regarding asset management, dTIA and deINIT will be gradually phased out, though withdrawal functions will remain accessible. Meanwhile, dATOM and dNTRN will continue to be supported, and Drop is in discussions with potential partners to explore options for maintaining the operation of these assets.
