TechFlame reports that on November 3, according to Bloomberg, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) announced it will ease cryptocurrency trading rules, allowing licensed local trading platforms to connect with global order books, moving away from the current closed model limited to matching orders within Hong Kong. SFC CEO Julia Leung stated at the Hong Kong FinTech Week that the relevant regulatory notice will be issued today. This move will align cryptocurrency trading with Hong Kong's traditional asset rules and is expected to attract major trading giants like Binance and Coinbase to establish operations in the city.
