TechFlame reports that Ethereum core developer Federico Carrone recently issued a warning that venture capital firm Paradigm's growing influence on the Ethereum network may become a potential risk to the ecosystem. Carrone said on social media that although Paradigm creates value for the community, its goals as a venture capital fund driven by profit and influence may not be in line with Ethereum's philosophy and political philosophy. Paradigm is gradually expanding its influence in the ecosystem by hiring key Ethereum researchers and funding open source libraries critical to Ethereum. The company recently collaborated with fintech giant Stripe to incubate a competitive Layer-1 blockchain called Tempo, a stablecoin and payments-centric network essentially controlled by Stripe, in stark contrast to the decentralized and open source nature of Ethereum.
