Thalha Jubair, a 19-year-old suspect who was arrested, is suspected of being involved in approximately 120 cyber intrusions. According to court documents, the organization has carried out multiple extortion attacks since May 2022, in 5 of which the affected companies have paid approximately $89.5 million in ransom. The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) says it has

seized $36 million in digital assets from Jubair-controlled server wallets.

Investigations revealed that Jubair revealed traces of using extortion proceeds to buy gaming gift cards and takeout. The group previously committed crimes through SIM card

theft and social engineering attacks, and victims included several important agencies, including the US federal court system.
